Common questions

Before you sign up

Founding Partners

What does a Founding Partner get?

One of only three seats — one per brokerage. You add an overall read on the market in every issue, credited by name from Issue #1 on, and you get the issue two days before Participating Brokers — early enough to send it to your own network first.

Is there a cost to being a Founding Partner?

No — founding seats are free. In exchange, you're in every issue, help shape how the report works, and get to voice your own commentary.

Why only one Founding Partner per brokerage?

The three founding seats each come from a different brokerage, by design. Any other broker is welcome and encouraged to join as a Participating Broker — the more brokers actively participating and adding insight on listings, the better the reach, and the better it is for brokers and their clients alike.

What happens once all three seats are filled?

That's it — the scarcity is the point. Participating Brokers hear first if a seat ever opens back up.

Do Founding Partners get a say in the format?

Yes — Founding Partners help shape what the report tracks and how it's structured.

How do I apply for a founding seat?

Email the editor — applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.

Participating Brokers

What's the difference between Founding and Participating?

Founding Partners are one of only three seats — an overall market read in every issue, plus first access. Participating Brokers comment on individual, editor-selected listings on a rolling basis instead, with no cap on how many can join.

What do I actually do as a Participating Broker?

Each week, our editorial team selects a set of listings for the issue. Participating Brokers who know those listings are invited to add commentary — dock depth, showing activity, the local read a dataset can't capture.

How does the process actually work?

You'll be sent the prospective listings selected for that issue and asked to add your comment. You'll have 24 hours to respond.

Am I guaranteed to be in every issue?

No — it's rolling. Only some of the brokers asked in a given week end up in that issue, based on which listings are featured. Founding Partners are the only ones guaranteed a spot every week.

Is there a limit on how many Participating Brokers there are?

No — unlike the three founding seats, there's no cap on Participating Brokers.

What if I want a founding seat instead?

There are only three, and Participating Brokers hear first when one opens. Email the editor to apply.

Cost and Commitment

How does billing work for Participating Brokers?

$100/week, charged automatically to the card on file, once signups open. Participating Broker enrollment isn't live yet — email the editor to be notified.

Is there a contract or minimum commitment?

No. Participating Broker access is billed weekly with no lock-in beyond the current week. Founding Partner seats carry no cost at all.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. Email the editor and you're canceled — no fee, and you're only billed for weeks you were signed up.

Is Founding Partner pricing the same as Participating?

No — Founding Partner seats are free. Participating Broker access is $100/week, once it opens.

Commentary

What kind of commentary do Founding Partners add?

An overall read on the market for the week — not tied to a single listing, attributed to you. Sharing that perspective in every issue is part of what holding a founding seat means.

What kind of commentary do Participating Brokers add?

Notes on individual listings our editorial team selects — things like dock depth, showing activity, or what a listing's history doesn't show on paper.

Do you edit what I submit?

Yes — light editing for length and clarity. The substance and attribution stay yours.

Is there a length limit on commentary?

There will be some kind of length guideline — the exact limit is still being finalized.

How much time do I have to submit commentary?

Once you're sent a listing, you'll have 24 hours to respond with your comment.
